FAQ
How many players is Minecraft Dungeons II co-op?
Is Minecraft Dungeons II cross-play?
How many players can play?
Minecraft Dungeons II supports 1–4 players in both couch co-op and online co-op. The extended gamescom demo literally shows an “Offline Guest Heroes” select screen — local players pick a hero and drop in, no separate accounts needed.
What do you need for online co-op?
- PC (Steam/Xbox app) and Xbox — Xbox Play Anywhere support, and Game Pass members can play day one.
- Consoles (PS5, Switch, Switch 2) — online play requires the platform’s online subscription, per the official FAQ.
- Couch co-op — free on all platforms; a second controller is the only requirement.
Are there enemies built for teams?
Yes — the official materials describe “blue-charged” enemies designed around teamwork, where coordinating attacks or positioning pays off. Solo players can still manage them, but they’re the clearest sign the difficulty curve expects a party.
Does difficulty scale with players?
Enemy pressure scales with party size, and quest objectives stay identical — so a four-player run of all 42 quests is the same list, just louder. For the gear side of group play — who tanks, who heals — start with armor slots and talismans.
